Abstract


The dissolution rates of Korean powdered enamel of 80120 mesh sieve have been compared in 0. 1. M acetate buffers over the pH range of 3.55.0 at various time intervals. The results were as follows.
1) It is seen that at pH 3.5 enamel shows the largest dissolution rate of 16.2 mg after 60 minutes of reaction time, whereas the dissolution values at pH 5. 0 shows the smallest dissolution rate of 5. 8. mg-
2) The dissolution rate at various pH levels was increased as the time intervals increased, and the amount of calcium was increased at the pH decreased.
